OP 20Turn the part
Drag to turn, scroll or pinch to zoom. Flat shows the blank before it is bent: the same sheet, the same frame.
The model shows part A, for illustration. Your part has its own sizes: build it from the drawing in OP 30.
OP 30Build it in SolidCraft
Part A of 8. Every learner gets a part with its own sizes, so the values you check below are yours to find.
A new part has new sizes. It clears this sheet's checks and ticked steps; your quiz answers stay.
Your task
Fold this channel from a flat plate, from the drawing above.
- The rule from the drawing's notes, then the flat plate: its rectangle on XY at the origin, and Flange.
- A sketch on the plate's top face with the two fold lines listed under the drawing.
- New this time: Fold on each line: Centerline, 90°, so both sides fold up.
- Flat Pattern: read the Flat size and the Bends.
What to write down
- Boxes 1 and 2: Both numbers of the Flat size row.
- Box 3: The number of bends (the Bends row).
Type them below and press Check. Before you look: do you expect the flat to be bigger than the plate you drew, or the same?
OP 40Inspect
Enter what SolidCraft shows you. Each value is checked against SolidCraft's own result, within the tolerance shown. Nothing you type leaves this page.

This opens once you've checked every box at least once: try it yourself first.
Open it in SolidCraft (File › Open) next to yours and compare the timeline, the rule and each feature's sizes: the first one that differs is where yours went wrong.

OP 50Quiz
Q1Which sketch does Fold need?
Fold bends the sheet along a sketch line drawn on its face.
Q2You fold a 140 × 80 plate. What happens to the flat size?
Fold bends the material that is already there. Flange is the one that adds material.
Q3The fold goes down instead of up. What do you change?
Flip folds the other way. Stationary Side picks which part stays still.
Every value is within tolerance. This sheet is done.
